For those of us who dream about living in the country, or even dream about getting a garden; - our only hope is an

Allotment.

After three years on the waiting list, we have finally got one - Plot No 61!
That is a half plot - 20x59ft (6x18m, about 100 square meter, that is 1 sotka).
20 minutes walk from the house, approximately 1 mile = 1.609344 kilometres.

Maybe not love at first sight, but possibly the start of a beautiful relationship.

The perfect plot is:
- close to a tap;
- it should be reasonably level;
- not overshadowed by trees;
- not on the boundary where weeds and plants may devour your plot’s nutrients.
